Hi, I'm Allison, and I believe

designers can change the world.

I am an experience designer, which often means different things to different people. Regardless of titles, I believe we should always design for people and value and, not pixels and screens. 

 

I enjoy art, traveling, video games, hiking, volunteering and teaching. I'm inspired by many facets of life and I intend to be a lifelong learner of everything. My multidisciplinary interests all stem from a genuine need to help people. The elements of communication, big-picture thinking and user journey studies can improve any process and provide value and meaning.

 

Design is communication, and communication is human.

 

My lifetime goal is to use design thinking to inspire, teach and help people communicate and express ideas. I want to use design to express things that people are interested in, things that are honest, resonate truth with us,  and move us to clearer thought or better action. I want to redefine the world, make things easier to understand, and break through monotony and stereotypes. I want to use design to motivate people to care about what's important, whether its a product, idea, process, or business.
